Author Guidelines
EKOPOLIS: Journal of Political Ecology, Social Justice, and Human Rights publishes original and critical works related to political ecology, social justice, democracy, and human rights. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
1. General Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in English.

The work must be original and free from plagiarism.

Submissions should reflect critical, analytical, and interdisciplinary perspectives.

Articles may use quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods approaches.

Manuscripts are submitted through the OJS online system.
2. Manuscript Structure
Title

Concise and informative.

Maximum 20 words.

Reflects the main issue and research contribution.
Author(s) Name and Affiliation

Full name (without academic titles).

Institutional affiliation.
-
Email address and ORCID (if available).

One author should be designated as the corresponding author.
Abstract (150–250 words)

Written in one paragraph.

Includes background, purpose, method, main findings, and implications.

Avoid citations and abbreviations.
Keywords (3–5 words)

Use specific and relevant terms.

Separated by semicolons (;).
Introduction

Presents the research background and problem statement.

Explains research objectives and significance.

Shows the gap in existing studies.
Literature Review / Theoretical Framework

Reviews relevant theories and previous studies.

Builds analytical or conceptual framework.

Positions the study within political ecology, justice, and human rights discourse.
Methodology

Explains data sources, sampling, instruments, and procedures.
